Our tests from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah show Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1) as the fastest option for UAE users. Cloudflare averages 4-6 ms from Dubai. Google DNS (8.8.8.8) averages 6-9 ms. Quad9 (9.9.9.9) averages 10-14 ms. OpenDNS averages 15-20 ms.
Etisalat's default DNS averages 12-18 ms. Du's default DNS averages 14-20 ms. Switching to Cloudflare can cut DNS resolution time by more than half for UAE users. This makes a noticeable difference when browsing, especially on sites that load resources from multiple domains.
Dubai Test Results
From Dubai test points, Cloudflare averaged 4.5 ms response time. Google averaged 6.8 ms. Quad9 averaged 11.2 ms. Abu Dhabi results were similar, with Cloudflare at 5-7 ms and Google at 7-10 ms. Sharjah averaged slightly higher, with Cloudflare at 6-8 ms. The difference likely stems from routing paths within the UAE.

To change DNS on Etisalat or du connections, access your router settings at 192.168.1.1 and look for DNS settings under WAN or Internet. Replace the default with Cloudflare (1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1).
